Ending human trafficking is in the hands of every individual and it begins with .

That's what the organizers of the fifth annual Bon Secours St. Francis Human Trafficking Seminar believe, so they are hosting this half-day summit and making it for all to attend. You can even attend virtually via a live stream provided by WYFF4.

Anchor and reporter Jane Robelot will serve as moderator for the event.

It's Tuesday, April 4 at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena in downtown Greenville, South Carolina.

The powerful event begins at 8 a.m. and concludes at 12:30 p.m.

The symposium is available for CME credit.

Presenters include Dr. Mollie Gordon.

She is associate professor of psychiatry at Baylor College of Medicine and the associate director of the inpatient psychiatric unit at Ben Taub Hospital, she co-founded Baylor College of Medicine's Division of Global Mental Health to treat survivors of torture, trafficking, and mass violence atrocities. Gordon is also the co-chair of the American Medical Women's Association — Physicians Against the Trafficking of Humans.

Also, Ana Isabel Vallejo.

Vallejo is the co-director and lead attorney at VIDA Legal Assistance, Inc. For almost 20 years, Vallejo has dedicated her practice to representing immigrant survivors of human trafficking, working in collaboration with the U.S. Criminal Section Civil Rights Division, the U.S. Attorney's Office, the FBI, and the .

And Cardell Morant.

He is the director of the Center for Countering Human Trafficking for the Department of Homeland Security. The Center for Countering Human Trafficking is a DHS-wide effort to advance counter-human trafficking operations, protect victims, and enhance prevention efforts. Morant has had a distinguished career with more than 25 years of experience in federal law enforcement.
