Bons Secours St. Francis Health System Human Trafficking Symposium to take place April 4

Bon Secours St. Francis Health System's 5th Annual Human Trafficking Symposium will be taking place at the Bon Secours Wellness Arena this year, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 4.

The half-day of presentations will feature three experts: Ana Isabel Vallejo, JD, Mollie Gordon, MA, MD, and Cardell T. Morant.

Vallejo works as the co-director and lead attorney for VIDA Legal Assistance, a non-profit organization assisting immigrant survivors of domestic violence, sexual violence, human trafficking, and other violent crimes.

Gordon is an Associate Professor in the Menninger Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Baylor College of Medicine and Associate Director of Inpatient Psychiatric Unit at Ben Taub Hospital who co-founded Baylor College of Medicine's Division of Global Mental Health to treat survivors of torture, trafficking and mass violence atrocities.

Morant is Director, Center for Countering Human Trafficking for the and has more than 25 years of experience in federal .
