AN INTELLIGENCE-LED APPROACH

Modern slavery and trafficking issues can easily be lost in the noisy space the world currently finds itself with war, geo-political issues, and global economic issues affecting all of us. We know from our data and intelligence that during tumultuous times (such as we are currently experiencing) the scale of modern slavery and trafficking becomes demonstrably greater.

You can't stop what you can't see, so we have developed a trusted and unique data-led approach to bring transparency to trafficking routes and hotspots. We want to fully democratise the data we collect (survivor stories, financial information, trend analysis and cross-border intelligence) to disrupt trafficking and traffickers.

By collecting and analysing intelligence, and issuing key judgment reports for our financial services, government, law enforcement, and NGO partners we help them mitigate risk and investigate bad actors. We also use data and insights to run geo-targeted digital prevention campaigns to help safeguard vulnerable people.

At STOP THE TRAFFIK every week is Anti-Slavery Week – and this week is no different:

On Tuesday 18th October – Anti-Slavery Day – STOP THE TRAFFIK and Commonweal Housing will be hosting a webinar discussing research on the current patterns of migration and trafficking due to the war in Ukraine.

On Tuesday 18th October we will also launch an e-learning module with KFC UKI, one of our corporate partners. The e-learning module allows over 36,000 employees to learn how to spot the signs of modern slavery and ensure greater safety and well-being for their employees and customers.

On Wednesday 19th October we will be launching our latest Ukraine Impact Report. Our Ukraine response to date has reached over 4 million displaced people, predominantly women and children, fleeing the war in Ukraine with our geo-targeted digital prevention campaign. Sharing intelligence with everyone who plays a part in preventing harm and providing safety.

On Thursday 20th October we will be revealing the judges of our Data to Disrupt Trafficking Awards. Our annual awards ceremony takes place on Thursday 27th October 2022, celebrating and commending all those organisations and individuals who share data and collaborate to disrupt trafficking.
