Legislation refers to the process of creating and enacting laws. In most democratic societies, legislation is created through a process that involves several steps, including proposal, debate, and voting. Once a law has been passed by a legislative body, it must be signed by the appropriate authority before it can be enacted. Legislation is an important aspect of the legal system, as it sets the rules and guidelines that govern society and provide a framework for addressing issues and conflicts that arise within a community.
But what exactly is insecure work? Why do firms seek it? And can it be good for workers? I explore these questions and more below, teasing out the negative aspects of insecure work which demand policy reform.

She thought they were in love and she didn’t mind helping out in the beginning – since his credit was bad. But she slowly came to understand that the relationship was abusive, and she needed to break free. That part was hard enough. What she wasn’t counting on was how difficult it would be to rebuild her life – including her finances. She couldn’t even rent an apartment with a credit history like that.
