Egypt is a country located in North Africa, on the Mediterranean Sea. It is the most populous country in the Arab world and has a rich history dating back to ancient times. Egypt is known for its many cultural and historical landmarks, such as the Pyramids of Giza and the Nile River, and is a major tourist destination. The country has a mixed economy with a large public sector and significant oil and natural gas resources. Egypt has a diverse population and is a member of the United Nations and the African Union.
