Foundation gives free healthcare, educational support to Nigerians – FRCN HQ

The year 2022 was a remarkable one for Emmanuel Osemota Foundation due to its life changing humanitarian activities, in September last year, the foundation successfully conducted a medical outreach in Okabere Community, Benin City, Edo state, Nigeria.

According to the report of the Foundation in 2022, a total of 205 patients received free medical outreach test which comprises 95 males and 110 females.

This event took place in September, last year at the Okabere Community Town Hall as a privilege and opportunity to give back to the community.

With the express permission of the head of The Okhiaghele community to organize a free medical outreach in the community.

The Foundation setup a Nurses Station, Mini Lab Station, Optometrist Station, Dental Station, Medical Doctor's Station, and Pharmacists Station.

The outreach featured Database collection/registration, Health talks, Blood glucose tests, Malaria tests, Blood pressure check, Hepatitis B & C tests, HIV tests, Dental check up, Free consultation, Dispensing of drugs etc

A member of the team, and Pharmacist, Dr Ochuko Onovae attended to the health needs of the residents and other guests at the medical outreach.

Nurse Chisom Okeke and Nurse Daisy were on the ground to give medical advice and necessary medical check-up to the people.

The Medical Lab Scientists, Arerosoghene Victory and Goodluck Osemwenkhae carried out Malaria, Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, and HIV tests during the outreach.

In November 2022, the Foundation organized Women Empowerment Program in Okabere, Ikpoba-Okha, Edo State, to empower the women in the community and to ensure they are self- reliant.

A member of the medical team, Dr Oghenekaro Onoriose gave a talk on women's health, needed and entrepreneurship skills to women in the community.

The event also featured a questions and answers session while twelve rural women received grants to launch their own businesses.

Forty people attended the talk, 12 women received funds, and over N4,000,000 was given out to support businesses as a way of given back to the society”. The Foundation stated.

At the Ambrose Alli University, in Ekpoma, Edo State, the EO Foundation team visited the College of Medicine to host the annual Dr S.U. Osemota Achievers' Awards! where stethoscopes was presented to top performers in the latest Part 1 MBBS examination for the 2020/2021 session. .

Emmanuel Osemota Foundation believed that the ongoing partnership with the Institution was a great honored to continue supporting its critical academic program.

Students of the College of Medicine at Ambrose Alli, Edo State received Awards for their outstanding performance.

”We know each student will go on to bring health, wellness, and hope to their own communities”.

The Provost, College of Medicine, Prof GBS Iyalomhe, informed the Acting Vice Chancellor, Prof. A. S. Adagbonyin, that he was also standing in for the Foundation.

A representative of the family, Dr Samuel Osemota said Ambrose Alli University, in Ekpoma would be the second to received such Award from the Foundation.

He promised that the foundation would continue to do more for the purpose of encouraging teaching and learning and hard work in the University.

In the year under view, the Foundation visited the Saint Maria Goretti Girls College, Ikpoba-Okha, Edo State to host a symposium lecture for students on ”Human Trafficking Sexual Abuse, Sex education and Menstrual Hygiene, handled by Dr Peace Ariavie.

The Foundation is passionate about the advancement of girl child and their education in Nigeria.

The engaging program featured questions and answers session where the young women were eager to learn more.

The event was attended by over 500 young women and over 4,674 sanitary and educational supplies were distributed. Invest In A Girl, Power The Future!

On quiz competition for the students. Thought-provoking questions on Human trafficking and Girls Health were asked and the fastest students to provide the answers qualified for the quiz.

At Saint Maria Goretti Girls College, Ikpoba-Okha, quiz competition was organized, Odaro Success finished as the 2nd runner-up and was gifted a brand-new Asus Laptop.

Aiokpa Prudence finished as the 1st runner-up and was gifted a brand-new Asus Laptop while Iwuh Kindness finished in 1st position and received a brand-new Asus Laptop from Emmanuel Osemota Foundation.

In December, 2022, the Foundation rounded off its activities for the year with a visited to Eghosa Orphanage Home in Benin City, Nigeria, to celebrate Christmas with the children.

The proprietors of the organization work so hard every day to uplift children in need, cheer them up by bringing them additional funds, entertainment, and joy.

There was dance competition, played games, joined together for prayer, and distributed gifts and financial support.

The Foundation promised to continue spending Christmas with this incredible group of honorable children!

The Emmanuel Osemota Foundation brought healthy supplies, educational materials, food, drinks to celebrate with the children. The children sang Christmas songs together and enjoyed themselves.

Foundation described the time spent in the Orphanage Home as glorious, hearing their beautiful voices lifted up in song, as they celebrated the Christmas season.

There was a dance competition! The Eghosa Orphanage Home was full of life, love, and the reason for the season!
