District Hills Leaders' Day-Meeyamgi Numit held across Manipur – Imphal Free Press
The 6th District Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit observed across the state, at all district headquarters on Thursday. As a part of the programme, public grievances were addressed and public services were provided to the beneficiaries in the state.
Pherzawl: The event was attended by deputy commissioner Haulianlal Guite, SP Pherzawl A Ghaneshyam Sharma and SDO Tipaimukh I Dinesh Kumar Singh among others. The DC distributed various items including four water pump sets, mustard seeds and pesticides as well as free textbooks and school uniforms to the selected beneficiaries.
The highlights of the event included programmes on public welfare services such as registration of villagers on Forest Fire Alert System 3.0 and display of VDVK products by Forest Departments; awareness campaign on POCSO Acts, Child Trafficking and Child Rights by One Stop Center; along with the inspection of the ongoing 100-day works in and around Pherzawl village under the Swachh Jal Se Suraksha.
Guite also flagged off the ‘Eat Right Mela' and ‘Eat Right Walkathon' which was organised by the Food Safety Administration, Pherzawl under the guidance of Food Safety and Standard Authority of India. The programme commenced in the morning with the walkathon at the entry point of Pherzawl village to the Forest office junction.
During the event, nine stalls for organic food products were set up.
The DC urged the people to prepare healthy and nutritious meals in order to live a healthy lifestyle. Food safety officer of Pherzawl S Surendro spoke on the topic of common Food Adulteration and highlighted the importance of eating the right unadulterated food.
Jiribam: Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam Jameson Hangshing, MCS, SDPO Jiribam, T. Inaobi Singh, MPS, Ngasepam Kiran Kumar Singh, DGM, MSPDCL, M. Devananda Singh, SDC, Borobekra and other district level officers of various departments attended the event.
Altogether, 19 departments, including Health, Social Welfare, Fishery, Horticulture and Soil Conservation, Agriculture, Sericulture, MSPDCL, PWD, CAFPD and Veterinary and Animal Husbandry opened their stalls for delivering public services and addressing public grievances during the day.
Some of the services provided during the event included distribution of 24 Sprinkler Pump Sets under PMKSY Scheme and seven Ultra Violet Films to the selected beneficiaries. The department of Agriculture verified farmers for PM-KISAN beneficiaries. The Health Department issued CMHT card to one beneficiary and six fresh forms of the same were also issued.
As many as 121 applications of various issues pertaining to issuance of OBC certificates, Income Certificates, Domicile Certificates and land records etc., were also received for further necessary action. Additional Deputy Commissioner, Jiribam heard the grievances of the people one by one and instructed the concerned department officials to redress their grievance.
Unlike other months, public turnout was comparatively high in today's Meeyamgi Numit.
Kakching: Altogether, 29 departments opened their stalls for delivering public services and addressing public grievances during the day. Some of the services provided/grievances addressed during the event includes, distribution of 22 Food Safety Supervisor Certificates of Competence under Food Safety Programme by Food Safety Administration, Kakching to FBOs who had completed training on Food safety (Street Food Vendors). Services provided by DSO (CAF & PD) are verification of 6 PMGKY & NFSA Ration card, deletion of 4 members/beneficiaries and correction of 15 names/addresses.
Langmeidong CD Block issued two birth certificates and three Death Certificates. SDO Kakching issued three income certificates, eight Birth certificate and one Residence certificate. SDO Waikhong have also done 1 each of Birth certificate and Death certificate (Verification) while Kakching Municipal Council issued seven Birth certificates.
As many as 33 Old Age Pension Scheme and 10 Widow Pension Scheme applications were received from the general public of the district by District Social Welfare, Office, Kakching.
Concerned District Level Officers organized facilitation centres for beneficiary oriented schemes. The total services provided recorded 167 in today's Meeyamgi Numit.
Kamjong: Organised by the District Administration, Kamjong, the programme was held at the Sadhavna Man-dap, Kasom Khullen town. Deputy Commissioner Rangnamei Rang Peter; Superintendent of Police P Manjit, top-level police and civil officials, and other district level officers of the various government departments in the district attended the event.
In the event that witnessed hundreds of public in attendance, the district level offices (DLOs) opened their mobile stalls to cater to the various demands and grievances of the public. Among the most active stalls were the CMO, ICDS, DSWO, MSPDCL, DAO, District Handloom & Textiles, District Forest Office, CAF & PD, SDO office etc.
The stall of CAFPD issued Weavers' Cards to four of the beneficiaries by DC Rangnamei to the beneficiaries. CMO Kamjong also catered to the numerous health-related grievances.
DIC, DSWO, DAO, District Handloom and Textiles etc were some of the offices that received maximum number of grievances and complaints.
Kangpokpi: Kengoo Zuringla, Deputy Commissioner, Kangpokpi, directed all the District Level Officers of various departments to guide the public and dispose of their grievances at the earliest. Further, she also interacted and heard the grievances of the general public. Reikimdaar Khaling, Sub Divisional Officer (SDO) of Champhai and T Waichong, along with the officials and staffs guided the general public with their queries.
During the day, various government departments distributed pension cards, widow cards, tribe/income/domicile/PRC certificates and grievances/queries were also addressed by the One Stop Centre. DC Kengoo Zuringla also handed over 15 knapsack sprayers to the beneficiaries (farmers) provided by the District Agriculture Office.
The event was attended by government department officials, including Amrita Sinha, SP Kangpokpi; Derick L Khobung, ADC/ADM Kangpokpi and SDO/BDO Kangpokpi; James Doujapao Haokip, CEO/SHADC; all the SDOs; district level officers/representatives, among others.
Noney: District Administration Noney on Thursday organised the District Hill Leaders' Day and Meeyamgi Numit with stalls of more than 15 majority departments of Manipur taking part at the Multipurpose Hall, Longmai III, Noney district. Main departments of the district like Education, Health, CAFPD, Forests, Social Welfare, NIC etc opened stalls at the function to provide services to the people.
Verification was carried out for the PM Kishan scheme by properly checking the documents submitted by the people. Sports materials were distributed to beneficiaries during the function.
DC Joseph Pauline Kamson also distributed materials to the staff of the Education Department.
Covid vaccination stalls and one-stop centre were also opened keeping in view the medical needs of the people. SDOs, DLOs, ZEO, DFO, CMO, DSO and other related officials took part in the function.
Tengnoupal: Superintendent of Police, B Goulianmang chaired the meeting in the absence of Ranjan Yumnam who is on leave. The meeting was attended by village chiefs, Leaders of civil organisations and the public and the District Level Officers.
During the interaction, the representative of Banks informed that the governmental schemes such as PMEGP,PMFME which are national flagship programmes can be availed but the applicants need to fulfil the criteria and submit the relevant documents and reach the score marks. He also stated that some applicants got rejected due to liability in their bank accounts. So, to avail these schemes, it is essential to fulfil the given criteria. He added that from the next event to be held next month, banks will open a counter for the public to give awareness.
A total of 24 departments opened stalls to assist and to distribute beneficial schemes to the people. Education Department distribute 4 nos volleyball and football each. Social Welfare received six Care Giver Allowances for person with disabilities and 26 Manipur Old Age Pension schemes.
The Forest Department distributed 471 saplings to 24 individuals. ICDS conducted two Public awareness programmes, received 1 PMMVY form application and provided three services. ICDS also received an application to construct ICDS building at Saivom village. PHED received an application to construct a new water storage tank at Saivom village. Agriculture Department Pea seeds and Mustard seeds were distributed to 13 beneficiaries. MSPDCL received request for electrification of Khangsim Primary School.
The event was attended by 49 people, six villages and localities and three grievances and application were received in written and verbal. District Level Officers and officials of all the line departments of the district interacted and assisted the people who turned up for availing the beneficiary schemes.
