Online Trafficking

Online trafficking refers to the use of the internet and other online platforms to facilitate human trafficking. It can take many forms, including the use of social media, classified ad websites, and messaging apps to recruit, advertise, and sell victims of trafficking.

Online trafficking can be particularly insidious, as it allows traffickers to operate anonymously and to reach a wide audience. It also makes it easier for traffickers to exploit vulnerable individuals, such as children and those who are isolated or lacking in social support.

If you or someone you know is experiencing online trafficking, it is important to seek help from a trusted authority or support organization. There are many resources available to help victims of trafficking, including hotlines, shelters, and legal assistance. It is also important to remember that you are not alone and that there is help available. If you are concerned about online trafficking or if you have information about a trafficking operation, you can report it to the National Human Trafficking Hotline at 1-888-373-7888 or by using the online reporting form at traffickinghotline.org.
