Department of Education

The Department of Education is a government agency responsible for overseeing educational policies and programs in the United States. In the context of human trafficking, the Department of Education may be involved in preventing trafficking through the development of programs and policies aimed at identifying and addressing the root causes of vulnerability among at-risk populations, such as children and youth who are not enrolled in school. Additionally, the Department of Education may be involved in providing resources and support to schools, teachers, and counselors to help them recognize the signs of trafficking and provide appropriate assistance to victims.
