It helps to ensure that individuals and organizations are transparent and responsible in their activities and helps to build trust with stakeholders. In a law enforcement context, accountability refers to the need for police officers and other officials to be accountable for their actions, including their use of force, and to be held to high standards of professionalism and integrity. This can involve various measures such as oversight, review, and disciplinary procedures.
