Human Trafficking among new charges in child sex investigation
HOUSTON COUNTY, Ala. (WTVY) – Two people already facing child sex charges in Dale County are also accused of crimes elsewhere, including Human Trafficking allegations facing one of those suspects.
Multiple sources confirmed to WTVY News 4 that arrest warrants were issued in Houston County this week for Laura Edens and James Crum.
Edens, 29, is charged with Human Trafficking and other crimes, while Crum, 33, is accused of Sodomy, Rape, and Traveling to Meet a Minor for an Unlawful Sex Act.
Specifics of the charges will not be made public due to the sensitivity of allegations.
Dale County deputies arrested the pair last week following a multi-state investigation that allegedly revealed Crum traveled from his Florida home to Dale County and had relations with a girl under 12.
