Spring Branch man arrested on human trafficking charge involving juvenile

NEW BRAUNFELS — A Spring Branch man was arrested Friday on a human trafficking charge, according to a release from the city of New Braunfels.

Marc Stephen Jamison, 58, was arrested without incident after he arrived in the city allegedly to meet an underage girl whom he contacted through a site.

He's accused of taking the girl to an undisclosed location and paying her to have a sexual relationship with him beginning in May.

Jamison was booked into the Comal County Jail and released on $100,000 bail. Trafficking of persons, the charge against him, is a first-degree felony.

In addition to posting bail, Jamison was required to turn over his passport and other documents, according to the city.

The investigation into the case is ongoing, and Jamison could face additional charges, as the New Braunfels Police Department suspects that other juveniles may come forward.

The department is withholding specific details about the nature of the alleged crime, as well as the relationship between Jamison and juvenile, to “protect the integrity of the investigation and to judge the validity of victims that investigators believe will come forward,” according to the city.

Anyone with information regarding the case is encouraged to call New Braunfels Detective Richard Groff at 830-221-4167.
