Child Marriage Free India campaign launched : 17th oct22 ~ E-Pao! Headlines

Thoubal, October 16 2022:

Kailash Satyarthi Children Foundation (KSCF) in collaboration with Bachpan Bachao Andolan today launched the India campaign at District Library cum Youth Club, Thoubal Athokpam under the theme, “Safe Childhood, Safe India” .

The programme was attended by Child Welfare Committee Thoubal District, chairperson L Romen; Child Marriage Prohibition Officer, Thoubal District, Reena Moirangthem; Thoubal District Childline Coordinator, Ksh Bijyaluxmi and Associate Professor Dr L Romen Singh as resource persons.

At the event, the resource persons spoke on the topics, “Situation of Child Marriage in Manipur and Challenges faced by Them”, ” Role of CMPO, CWC in combating & Prevention of Child Marriage”, etc.

The campaign was launched to generate among the people regarding the ill effects of child marriage.
