Bi-communal cooperation for the Walk for Freedom to combat human trafficking

The international Walk for Freedom, organised to combat human trafficking and raise on the issue, is being held for the first time in Cyprus with bi-communal cooperation on October 15.

As reported in the north of the island, a march will be organised on both sides of the island and both groups will march to the House of Cooperation, in the buffer zone, where a joint communiqué will be read, Cyprus Agency (Cna) reported.

The march in the north is organised by the Human Rights Platform and in the south it is under the auspices of Cyprus Stop Trafficking.

The global event is organised by A21, a global non-profit organisation committed to eradicating human trafficking.

Citizens from around the world will gather in various cities for the 8th Walk for Freedom on October 15.

The Human Rights Platform in the north provides legal support to victims of trafficking and conducts advocacy and lobbying activities to prevent trafficking and support victims.
