Ryder to host 'Truckers Against Trafficking' exhibit – Local 10 News

MIAMI – Ryder is lending a voice and space to the human trafficking crisis.  

The American transportation and logistics company is hosting the Freedom Drivers Project, a national mobile exhibit by Truckers Against Trafficking that educates members of the trucking industry and the public about domestic .

The 48-foot trailer features a bold and colorful wrap on the exterior and a climate-controlled interior that includes a theatre station, actual trafficking artifacts from victims and action steps on how to recognize and report human trafficking. 

The emotional and thought-provoking exhibit also celebrates the efforts of the real who are working to drive change.

“Truckers across the country continue to provide invaluable tips to the hotline that are helping us return freedom to survivors,” said Nicole Moler, Director of the National Human Trafficking Resource Center (NHTRC). “The Freedom Drivers Project is an exciting initiative which has the potential to elevate this important issue and equip communities across the country with the knowledge and tools to make a difference.”

According to Florida Alliance to End Human Trafficking, Florida is the third highest state for human trafficking cases, and it ranks second for cases. 

Human trafficking is a form of modern-day slavery with more than 50 million people trafficked worldwide.

The Freedom Drivers Project has traveled more than 15,000 miles across the U.S. to raise . It will stop at Ryder System's Miami headquarters on September 28 to educate employees there.
