Lighthouse Update

With schools reopening, pumpkin spice products lining the shelves, and (slightly) cooler weather on the horizon, autumn is upon us in Texas! We hope you are enjoying the start to fall as much as we are.

As we head into the fall, we wanted to provide you with an update on Lighthouse. I am proud and excited to report that users across Texas have conducted over 8,400 screenings in Lighthouse since May 2020! Over 47,800 screenings have been completed statewide since 2016, with 5,382 scored as clear concern (the highest possible score/indicator of risk for trafficking). Over 1,000 of the youth screened as clear concern have received coordinated care from child-serving agencies, and other organizations across the state.

Lighthouse has truly changed how organizations across Texas screen for trafficking and provide care for youth and young adults. We've seen how this data empowers real-time responses to crises, like a person sitting in a shelter at 3 A.M, while also providing critical insights and understanding that empower how the trafficking field as a whole builds response plans and ongoing care.  Our field has never had access to this kind of data, which empowers both appropriate instant responses and long-term planning.

I can't say thank you enough for all the support up to this point. Your support allows us to get Lighthouse into the hands of any and all who need it. We have made great progress but still have a long way to go. I hope that you will stay with us for the journey, it's going to be a good one!

Together,
Tally Jorn
Partnership Manager
