World Day Against Human Trafficking

World Day Against Human Trafficking, or more accurately, “World Day against Trafficking in Persons,” is an annual observance that takes place on July 30th. It was established by the United Nations in 2003 to raise awareness about the issue of human trafficking and to promote the rights of trafficking victims. Every year, events and activities are held around the world to mark the occasion and to draw attention to the plight of trafficking victims.

Human trafficking is a serious global problem that affects millions of people around the world. It involves the use of force, fraud, or coercion to exploit people for the purpose of labor, sexual exploitation, or other forms of abuse. It is a grave violation of human rights and a crime that is often hidden in the shadows.

On World Day against Trafficking in Persons, people around the world come together to stand in solidarity with trafficking victims and to call for an end to this heinous crime. Governments, civil society organizations, and individuals all play a role in the fight against trafficking, and World Day provides an opportunity to raise awareness, educate the public, and advocate for change. If you would like to get involved in the fight against human trafficking, there are many ways you can make a difference, including volunteering, donating, and raising awareness about the issue.
