West Africa

West Africa is a region in Africa that is located to the west of the continent. It is a diverse region with a rich history and culture, and is home to many different ethnic groups. The region stretches from the Atlantic Ocean in the west to the Sahel region in the east, and includes the countries of Mauritania, Senegal, The Gambia, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Côte d’Ivoire, Burkina Faso, Ghana, Togo, Benin, Nigeria, and Niger. West Africa has a diverse economy, with industries ranging from agriculture and mining to manufacturing and services. The region is known for its vibrant music and art scenes, and is home to many important cultural and historic sites.
