Upper Middle Income Country

An upper middle income country is a country with a gross national income (GNI) per capita that is above the threshold for lower middle income countries but below the threshold for high income countries. The World Bank classifies countries into income groups based on their GNI per capita, with upper middle income countries falling between the lower bound of the upper middle income group and the upper bound of the group.
