Turn Out

In the context of human trafficking, the term “turn out” refers to the process of recruiting and grooming someone, often a young person, to become involved in the sex trade. The term is often used by pimps and traffickers to describe the process of recruiting and indoctrinating someone into a life of sexual exploitation.

The process of “turning out” a victim may involve a variety of tactics, such as manipulating the person’s emotions, isolating them from friends and family, and using threats, intimidation, and physical abuse to control them. Victims of human trafficking may be forced or coerced into engaging in commercial sex acts against their will, and they may be physically and emotionally abused by their traffickers.

It is important to recognize the signs of human trafficking and to report any suspected cases to the authorities. If you or someone you know is being exploited, it is important to seek help and support from a trusted source, such as a crisis hotline or a law enforcement agency.
