Traumatized

Traumatized refers to individuals who have experienced severe psychological or emotional distress as a result of exposure to violence, abuse, or other traumatic events. In the context of human trafficking, trafficking victims may experience a range of physical, emotional, and psychological trauma as a result of their exploitation. This trauma can have long-lasting effects on victims, including depression, anxiety, and post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). It is important for service providers and support organizations to recognize the impact of trauma on trafficking victims and provide appropriate care and support to help them heal and recover.
