Square

Square is a financial technology company that provides payment processing services for merchants and other businesses. In the context of human trafficking, Square may be involved in preventing trafficking by monitoring financial transactions for suspicious activity, such as large or irregular payments that may be related to trafficking. Square may also provide resources and support for anti-trafficking organizations and initiatives.

In the context of human trafficking and other forms of criminal activity, the term “square” is sometimes used to refer to a person who is not involved in the criminal underworld and does not engage in criminal activity. This usage of the term implies that the person is “straight” or “honest” and does not participate in illegal activities.

Traffickers and other criminals may use this term to distinguish themselves from law-abiding citizens, and to signal to one another that they are part of a specific subculture or group. However, it is important to note that this usage of the term is not commonly used in mainstream discourse, and it may not be well-known outside of certain criminal subcultures. Moreover, the use of slang and coded language is just one of many tactics that traffickers may use to evade detection and continue their illegal activities.
