The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) is a Philippine law enforcement agency that serves as the country’s principal investigative agency. The NBI is responsible for investigating crimes and criminal activities, as well as providing forensic and technical support to law enforcement agencies. It is similar to the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) in the United States. The NBI is headed by a Director who is appointed by the President of the Philippines.
