ISB Bond Holder

ISB stands for International Sovereign Bond. An ISB bond holder is an investor who holds ISB bonds, which are a type of government bond issued by a sovereign (national) government. ISB bonds are issued in foreign currencies, such as the US dollar or the euro, and are typically traded on international capital markets. ISB bond holders are exposed to credit risk, which is the risk that the issuing government will default on its debt obligations, and to currency risk, which is the risk that changes in exchange rates will affect the value of the bond. ISB bonds are considered to be relatively safe investments, but their value can be affected by a range of economic and political factors.
