El Salvador is a country in Central America, located on the Pacific coast. It is bordered by Honduras to the north and Guatemala to the south. El Salvador has a population of over 6 million people and is the smallest and most densely populated country in Central America. The official language is Spanish, and the majority of the population is Christian. El Salvador has a history of political instability and violence, but it has made significant progress in recent years in improving security and reducing crime. The country is known for its beautiful beaches, national parks, and rich culture, including its music, cuisine, and handicrafts.
