Due Diligence refers to the process of conducting research and taking appropriate steps to prevent or mitigate harm, particularly in business or financial transactions. In the context of human trafficking, due diligence might involve investigating supply chains to identify and prevent the use of forced labor, or conducting background checks on employees or contractors to prevent trafficking-related activities.
