Drought

A drought is a period of prolonged dryness that can have negative effects on plants, animals, and people. Droughts can be caused by a variety of factors, such as a lack of rainfall, high temperatures, and low humidity. They can have serious consequences, such as crop failure, water shortages, and an increased risk of wildfire. Droughts can also have economic and social impacts, such as reduced agricultural production and increased conflict over water resources. Governments and communities can take steps to mitigate the effects of drought, such as by implementing water conservation measures and developing drought-resistant crops.
