ASEAN Convention Against Trafficking in Persons

The ASEAN Convention on Trafficking in Persons is a regional treaty that was adopted by the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) in 2007. It aims to combat human trafficking and provide protection and assistance to victims of trafficking in the ASEAN region. The convention defines trafficking in persons and establishes specific obligations for member states, including measures to prevent trafficking, protect and assist victims, and prosecute traffickers.
