Armed Conflict

Armed conflict, also known as war, is a situation in which two or more parties, typically states or non-state armed groups, use military force to try to achieve their political or ideological objectives. Armed conflicts can take many forms, from full-scale wars between countries to internal conflicts within a country, such as civil wars or insurgencies. Armed conflicts can have many causes, including territorial disputes, religious or ethnic tensions, or competition for resources. They can have devastating consequences for the people involved, including loss of life, displacement, and destruction of infrastructure. The international community often attempts to prevent or resolve armed conflicts through diplomacy, peacekeeping operations, and other means.
