Victim Centered

Victim-centered refers to a approach to dealing with victims of crime or trauma that focuses on their needs and experiences. This approach places the victim at the center of the response to the crime or trauma, with the goal of providing them with support, justice, and healing. Victim-centered approaches may include providing victims with access to counseling, legal services, and other forms of support, as well as ensuring that they are involved in the criminal justice process and that their rights are protected. This approach is in contrast to approaches that focus primarily on the offender, such as punishment-based approaches to criminal justice.
