UNODC

UNODC is the acronym for the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, which is a United Nations agency that works to prevent crime and promote justice and the rule of law around the world. Established in 1997, UNODC is headquartered in Vienna, Austria, and has a presence in over 100 countries.

UNODC’s mandate includes addressing a range of issues related to crime, drugs, and terrorism, including illicit drug production and trafficking, transnational organized crime, corruption, money laundering, and cybercrime. The organization also works to promote the implementation of international conventions and protocols related to these issues.

UNODC carries out its work through a variety of programs and projects, including research, technical assistance, and capacity building for member states. It also works closely with other United Nations agencies, intergovernmental organizations, and non-governmental organizations to address global challenges related to crime and drugs.
