Nairobi

Nairobi is the capital city of Kenya and is a hub for human trafficking in East Africa. The city’s large population and its position as a regional transportation hub make it an attractive destination for traffickers. Many trafficking victims in Nairobi are from rural areas and are lured into exploitation with promises of employment or education opportunities. The Kenyan government has taken steps to address the problem of trafficking in the city, including passing laws to protect victims and providing training to law enforcement officials. However, the problem of human trafficking in Nairobi remains a significant challenge.
