Modern Slavery Strategy

A modern slavery strategy is a plan of action developed by a government or other organization to combat modern slavery and human trafficking. A modern slavery strategy typically includes measures to prevent these crimes, to protect and support victims, and to prosecute those responsible for these crimes. A modern slavery strategy may also include provisions for public awareness and engagement, as well as for collaboration with other stakeholders, such as civil society organizations and businesses. A modern slavery strategy is an important tool in the fight against modern slavery and human trafficking, and many governments around the world have developed such strategies. The UK government, for example, has a modern slavery strategy that was developed in response to the Modern Slavery Act 2015.
