Human Right

A human right is a moral entitlement that is inherent to all human beings regardless of their race, gender, nationality, religion, or any other status. Human rights are based on the principle of respect for the inherent dignity of every person and are universally applicable to all people, regardless of where they live or what they believe. These rights include the right to life, liberty, and security of person; the right to education, health care, and an adequate standard of living; and the right to freedom of thought, conscience, and expression. Human rights are not privileges that can be granted or taken away by governments or other authorities, but rather are inherent to every person and must be protected by law.
