Global Slavery Index

The Global Slavery Index is a report published by the Walk Free Foundation. The report provides estimates of the number of people living in modern slavery around the world, and it ranks countries based on their prevalence of modern slavery. Modern slavery is defined in the report as situations of exploitation that a person cannot refuse or leave because of threats, violence, coercion, abuse of power, or deception. The Global Slavery Index provides estimates of the number of people living in modern slavery in each country, as well as information on the nature and prevalence of these crimes. The report also includes recommendations for governments, businesses, and other stakeholders on how to prevent and combat modern slavery. The Global Slavery Index is an important resource for understanding the global problem of modern slavery and human trafficking.
