In the past, Craigslist has faced criticism and legal action for allowing the posting of ads that facilitated the sale of sexual services and for not doing enough to prevent the exploitation of victims. In response, the company has implemented a number of measures to address these issues, including the removal of certain categories of ads, the implementation of stricter policies for the posting of personal ads, and the creation of a human trafficking hotline for reporting suspected cases.
