In their newsletter’s lead, the IGDA offered our online course, Human Trafficking Essentials, to all their members.
The core is KnowledgeCity’s Human Trafficking Awareness course. The CALIFORNIA part of this course is a 5 page PDF and the HOSPITALITY part of the course is an additional chapter.
The HOSPITALITY part of the course is an additional chapter, including 5:44 of new video, and a single additional question. Additional hospitality questions are peppered in the final test.
The only thing CALIFORNIA about this course (as opposed to their Human Trafficking Awareness course) is a 5 page PDF that you can’t even download, and a few questions based upon that PDF.

Good course with great materials and an assessment-based certificate. Huge lost opportunity to provide easily accessible, downloadable materials to students.
In the leadoff to their January newsletter, IGDA’s Executive Director, Renee Gittins, was kind enough to offer our online course, Human Trafficking Essentials, to all members of the IGDA.
Gamification has been my main learning opportunity and new professional skill since 2010. I went live with my first gamification effort in August 2011 at an educational company and I have worked as a gamification expert for many clients since then. It’s a lot of fun working with teams that are committed and enthusiastic!
I’m so glad to have had the opportunity to apply those techniques to our online course.
