Community Coalition Against Human Trafficking

The Community Coalition Against Human Trafficking (CCAHT) is a nonprofit organization based in Los Angeles, California. The CCAHT works to combat human trafficking and to support victims of trafficking in the Los Angeles area. The organization focuses on raising awareness about human trafficking, providing training and education to community members and professionals, and advocating for policies and laws that support trafficking survivors. The CCAHT also provides direct services to trafficking survivors, such as crisis intervention, case management, and referrals to other services. The CCAHT is part of the Los Angeles Regional Human Trafficking Task Force, which is a collaboration of organizations and agencies working to address human trafficking in the region.

While this hashtag may have started out with good intentions to spread awareness about human trafficking, many popular social media hashtags and movements can devolve into perpetuating something more mythical than grounded. Some of these movements can sometimes cast a shadow over the truth of the survivors we have the privilege to serve. It is a smokescreen for human traffickers. This is dangerous.
