Our 5 Stones meeting this January consisted of some updates including a special case update by Sgt. White, and a presentation by Sarolyn Morgan, LCSW-S, BCD, with Homeland Security Investigations.  Ms. Morgan discussed the process of survivor and restoration.

TC 5 Stones January 2023

Our 5 Stones meeting this January consisted of some law enforcement updates including a special case update by Sgt. White, and a presentation by Sarolyn Morgan, LCSW-S, BCD, with Homeland Security Investigations. Ms. Morgan discussed the process of survivor recovery and restoration.

Sarolyn Morgan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Supervisor with a Board-Certified Diplomat (LCSW-S, BCD). She has been the Victim Assistance Specialist for Homeland Security and Customs Enforcements (HSI-ICE) since October 2016. She has served hundreds of Human Trafficking survivors and raised HT for more than 100,000 individuals.

In her role as Victim Assistance Specialist, she strategically navigates and collaborates with the victim, law enforcement, and community partners. She has served victims of traumatic events and sexual trauma in an official capacity since 1995. She also currently serves in the United States Army Reserves as the Brigade Commander for a Medical Training Brigade and she's an Army War College Graduate. Prior to her current military assignment, she served as Chief Social Work Officer for 11,500 Soldiers, Equal Opportunity Program Officer in Charge, was part of the Sexual Harassment Assault Response Prevention (SHARP) program, and is the Clinical Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the 807th Medical Command Deployment Support since 1998.

She has served in the military for 32 years, which includes 8 years of active duty. She is an ASIST (Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training) Coach for Living Works and provides some psychotherapy services in the community. Some of Mrs. Morgan's jobs include work as the Suicide Prevention Coordinator and Military Sexual Trauma (MST) psychotherapist for the Department of Veteran's Affairs, The United States Army (Suicide Prevention Program Manager/SHARP PM), Private Practice treatment for PTSD and Sexual Trauma (22 years), Alliance for Children as a Sexual Trauma Therapist, the Federal Bureau of Prisons as a Drug Treatment Specialist and Child Protective Services.

She and her husband of 26 years have two sons in college—a Senior studying Computer Science and a graduate with a Bachelor's of Science in Technology Engineering – along with their favorite pet, Tyson.
