According to the police, Basanti, who is in jail, bought peanuts for Rs 30 thousand from a woman who sold them in the train. Later he sold it for one lakh rupees in the name of marriage. After marriage, the girl was called from her in-laws' house with ornaments. The girl was also raped twice. She became pregnant. She has a three-month-old daughter. According to the police, on July 30, Basanti tried to sell two girls, aged 14 and 8, to a youth from Kolkata at Basanti's house in the Central Jail. As she prepared to sell the girl, the police reached the spot and seized both the girls.

The girl who was seized by the police said that she was from Maihar. She took the train alone to go to her aunt's house in Sagar. Sagar got down at the station and did not go to his aunt's house. When the boys came to Basanti, she kept silent by threatening to implicate them in the case. Even boys didn't complain because I was a minor. I have been staying at Basanti's house since then. At this time Biscuit alias Deepesh came to Basanti's house to take liquor. He raped me. Basanti's brother Dhan Singh also physically abused me. It made me pregnant. I gave birth to a baby girl. My daughter is three months old. Kolkata resident Antur Roy was arrested by the police along with Basanti who is facing charges of human trafficking. Basanti negotiates a minor marriage with Antur. When the police caught him, he came to get married.

Sutradhari used to keep minor girls hostage in Basanti's house. Earlier they used to sell alcohol. After that she would get the money and get married. After marriage, she used to call in-laws with jewelry and money. At the same time, Basati's mother Sharada along with Basanti bought the minor belonging to Maihar for 30 thousand rupees. During this time mothers and daughters were forced to do wrong things. During the investigation, the 14-year-old girl said that Basanti first started selling liquor. Married in three different places. Called again after marriage. As soon as the matter came to light, the police registered a case against accused Basanti and arrested accused Antur Roy from his house under other sections including human trafficking. Accused Basanti has previous cases of prostitution and liquor smuggling.

When the police seized the girl from Basanti's house and questioned Basanti's mother Sharada about the girl, she did not give correct information and said that she was her daughter, but she did not provide any documents in this regard. The police interrogated the girl but due to fear and shock she did not give proper information to the police Sharada as her mother and Basanti as her sister were placed in a children's home by Childline and given continuous counseling by counsellors. Asked about her real name and her home in Maihar Police Station area of ​​Satna District.

The girl told the police that three-four years ago, without telling her family members, she took a train from Maihar alone and came to her warts living in Sagar. When Bhagkar reached Sagar station, Mamata kept her and then sold her. .
