TC 5 Stones October 2022

This month we heard from Mark Reidland, Executive Director of hope(local) as he discusses the nexus between foster care and trafficking and how the local church can respond.

Mark Reidland joined Hope Local in 2015 and three years ago became their Executive Director. Hope Local exists to ensure vulnerable children get the opportunity to be loved, supported, and achieve success by mobilizing local churches to serve them.

Mark is very passionate about seeing local churches care for vulnerable kids and families, and believes this is a foundational function of Christian faith.

Over the past six years, Hope Local has helped over 90 kids get adopted into their forever families, helped almost 200 families get licensed for foster care or adoption, and helped 30 different local churches start ministry or engage in an initiative that serves vulnerable kids and families. Mark is married to a wonderful woman, Chelsea, and has six amazing children: three biological and three adopted from foster care.
